Around Lakewood
Lakewood grew up as a planned post-war city, became known for the Lakewood Plan of contracting city services from the county, and has Lakewood Center at its heart. Plenty of local businesses run a van or a pickup, and a wrapped work vehicle advertises in every driveway and parking lot it stops in. We design the graphics in-house, print them and wrap one vehicle or a fleet.
Wrapping a work van: what the film protects
A work van spends its life in the sun, in parking lots and on job sites, and vinyl helps it in two ways. First, it carries your name, number and services to everyone who drives behind you or parks next to you. Second, it covers the factory paint, so scrapes from ladders and tool boxes land on the film. When the van is sold, the wrap comes off and the paint underneath has been shielded from years of UV. Printed graphics are laminated, which adds sun resistance and makes them easier to wash. A full wrap is not the only option: graphics on the doors and rear do much of the advertising with less film.

Lakewood questions
What should a work van wrap say?
Keep it short enough to read at a stoplight: business name, what you do, a phone number and a website. A few words of services is plenty. Strong contrast between letters and background matters more than a clever layout.
Can you wrap a van that has rust or dents?
Film follows every curve, so it shows dents rather than hiding them, and it should not go over rust, which keeps spreading under the vinyl. Fix those spots first. Small scratches and faded paint are fine to cover.
Can I keep using my van while the graphics are designed?
Yes. Design and proofs happen before the van comes in, by text or email, so it stays on the road. It only needs to be here for the install, which usually takes one to two days.
