If you want badges removed, they are warmed, lifted off and the adhesive is cleaned up. On some cars badges sit on pins in drilled holes, so removing them leaves holes. We check that first and wrap the badge instead if needed.

Quality black film lasts several years on trim, less on pieces that face straight up, like roof rails and the top of the window trim, which take the most Southern California sun. Keep a pressure washer well back from the trim and skip brush car washes, which catch edges. Wipe off bird droppings and tree sap quickly. Garage or shade parking helps more than anything else. Gloss black or satin black?

Gloss black matches piano-black trim, dark glass and gloss black wheels, and it looks like factory blackout trim on most modern cars. It also shows dust, fingerprints and fine wash marks, just like gloss paint. Satin black has a soft sheen that matches the textured black plastics around windows and bumpers, and it hides dust and swirls better. On a car with a satin or matte wrap, satin trim usually looks more consistent. You can also match the trim to the wrap color or use a contrast color for accents. Hold samples against the trim before you decide.
