Cybertruck wraps and PPF
Yes, you can wrap a Cybertruck. Vinyl wraps, clear PPF and color PPF are applied to the unpainted stainless steel panels after the steel is cleaned and decontaminated. Owners usually want one of three things: a color, protection that keeps the steel look, or a rolling ad for their business.
Studio illustrationBare steel, not paint
Almost every other truck on the road has paint and clear coat. The Cybertruck body is unpainted stainless steel. A scratch goes into the steel itself, and there is no clear coat to polish back. Bare stainless also shows fingerprints, water spots and road film, which is one reason owners cover it. Clear PPF keeps the brushed-steel look and takes the scratches instead. Satin clear PPF tones down the shine without hiding the metal. A wrap or color PPF replaces the steel look completely.
Big flat panels and sharp creases
The Cybertruck is mostly large, flat sheets that meet at hard edges. Flat sounds easy, but a big flat panel shows every bubble, stretch mark and seam in the light. The sharp creases need film laid with care so it does not pull back from the edge over time. Seams are placed at panel gaps and along creases, where the eye does not catch them. The light bars run the full width of the truck, front and rear, so film is trimmed tight around them. Cameras, sensors and lights stay uncovered.
Black, color or a business livery
Satin black and matte black are popular Cybertruck looks: they make the truck look machined instead of polished. Color PPF suits owners who want a color and real protection on a truck they plan to keep. Because the sides are so big and flat, the Cybertruck also makes a strong moving billboard for a contractor, a gym or any local business. We design printed liveries in-house, print them on cast film and laminate them. The truck in the picture wears a design concept for a fictional brand, not a customer job.
What sets the price on a Cybertruck
It is a big vehicle with a lot of surface, so film is a larger share of the price than on a sedan. After that it comes down to four choices: wrap or PPF, the finish (standard satin and matte cost less than color-shift), how much of the truck is covered, and how complex the design is if it is printed. A livery adds design and print time. Clear PPF on only the high-impact areas is the smallest job. Send photos and tell us how you use the truck, and we quote the options side by side.
In the bay, and care after
The truck is washed first. Then the stainless is decontaminated and wiped down, because film only goes on clean metal. The film goes on indoors, panel by panel, and the edges are post-heated at the end. At pickup we go over every panel with you under shop lights. For care, hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and skip brush car washes. Keep pressure washer tips well back from edges and creases, where a strong jet can lift film. Ask us about a coating made for film if you want water to sheet off.
Questions
How much does it cost to wrap a Cybertruck near Los Angeles?
It depends on the finish, wrap or PPF, and how much of the truck is covered. A one-color satin or matte wrap is simpler than color-shift or a printed livery, and full-body PPF uses more costly film. Text us photos and we price each option for your truck.
Should I get clear PPF or a wrap on my Cybertruck?
Get clear PPF if you like the steel look and want it protected. Get a wrap if you want a new color at a lower cost than color PPF. Get color PPF if you want both the color and the scratch protection in one film. We show you samples of each before you decide.
Can I tint my Cybertruck windows in California?
Yes, under the same rules as any vehicle. The rear side windows and back glass can be any shade because the truck has mirrors on both sides. Front side windows must pass 70% of light, so only clear film is allowed there, and the windshield gets a strip along the top only.
Can you put my business logo on my Cybertruck?
Yes. We design the livery in-house or work from your files, and check the design with you before anything is printed. It can be full body, or a partial with your logo, phone number and website. One thing we will not do is cover or wrap the license plate: that has been illegal in California since January 1, 2026.
